Wemrock Orchard's Class Trips Programs - 2019/2020 School Year
Dear Administrators & Teachers of Grades Pre-K, Kind, 1st, 2nd & 3rd
Greetings! We know that planning a worthwhile class trip can be challenging, so why not let us help you to make the most of your class trip experience. We have been proving highly educational field trips for over 25+ years and are proud to have served many schools and students from our Local Communities.
For the 2019/2020 School Year, we will be offering our Fall Tour and Spring Tour. Both Tours are approximately 2 hours. Spend an hour at our County Store and then an hour at our Family Farms. Each location has 3 stations to explore.
Location 1
Our Country Store (Fall 2019 & Spring 2020)
The Country Store portion includes a visit to our Fall Harvest Room or our Spring Strawberry Room. Students will participate in an interactive discussion on how we grow, cultivate and promote our fruits. The next station is with our Baker for a scrumptious pie making demonstration using our own fresh apples (Fall Tour) or strawberries (Spring Tour). The last station is in our Snack Room where your group will be offered a snack (cup of apple cider and an old-fashioned apple cider donut) and will learn about apples (Fall Tour) or how our tractor helps us through the seasons (Spring Tour).
Location 2
Wemrock Orchard's Pumpkin Patch (Fall Tour 2019)
Students will enjoy and outdoor experience at our Pumpkin Patch. This tour allows the students to pick their own pumpkin from our sugar pumpkin patch (small pumpkin). Then the students will learn about our corn field & hear "corny" jokes from our farmer. Last the group will take a scenic hayride which travels through our farm and corn field.
Location 3
Wemrock Orchard's Strawberry Farm (Spring Tour 2020)
The Strawberry Farm will provide students an outdoor experience and they will be able to pick their own strawberries. The group will also take a scenic hayride which travels throughout our farm. Last, the students will be able to learn about honey bees and how they help us to grow our strawberries. They will see bee keeping equipment and learn interesting facts about our honey bees.
Fall Tour Season is the month of October/early Nov and the Spring Tour Season runs from mid-May to mid-June. Monday thru Friday, 10am - 12pm. The entire tour takes approximately 2+ hours. Fall School Tours and Class Trips
The Harvest Tour - Tour 1
- Cost per child $6.50.
- Located in our a Country Store
- Approximately on hour
- Children will flow through various stations - 15 minutes at each station

Station 1
Visit the Baker to learn how to make an apple pie.
Station 2
Visit our harvest room to learn about how pumpkins gourds and squash grow. See the many varieties that are grown locally and other fall harvest favorites.
Station 3
Visit our famous snack room where students, teachers and chaperones will snack on our delicious apple cider and apple cider donuts. Followed by a discussion on Johnny Appleseed and apples.
Pumpkin Picking & Hayride- Tour 2
- Cost per child $6.50.
- Location- Wemrock's Pumpkin Patch
- Approximately one hour
- Children will pick a small pumpkin
- Hayride throughout our farm, corn field, and decorated wooded forest/lake area.
- Discussion on our Corn Field
- Farm and Hayride is decorated with small children in mind and is family friendly.
Combination Tour- Tour 3
- Do both tours- Cost per Child $10.
- Takes approximately 2 hours
